Street Art of Detroit

The art of Detroit continued…

The Dequindre Cut Greenway is a converted below street level rail line transformed into an art lined walking trail. The art of the greenway stretches more than a mile dotting the sides of the pedestrian walkway creating a beautiful and authentic view of the city. No longer an abandoned railway, the cut now showcases the work of local and visiting artists and students honing their craft while experimenting with all of the environmental canvases available to them. Bridge support structures, walls, building facades and any surface is brought to life with the artist’s vision.

In the thriving and bustling Eastern Market every twist and turn seems to produce another beautiful mural or piece done by the talented teams of local artists. Some walls display sprawling gorgeous landscapes and fantasy worlds while others make a compelling statement to each visitor.
