This week brought me to the Quad Cities of Illinois and Iowa. Throughout the course of the week, I found myself spending less and less time seeking out the landscapes that usually capture my attention. Instead I spent more and more time pulled over on the side of the road photographing the animals ubiquitous in rural America. I did not expect the horses and cattle along the country roads of Iowa to be as friendly as they were, which in turn left me giddy each time I got the chance to pet these friendly lumbering beasts. This week’s post ended up being more of a livestock showcase than my usual landscape work, but nevertheless I hope you enjoy it.
If there’s one thing I love its symmetry.
