This year, I’m looking forward to concentrating on experiences more so than material things. I’ll be focusing on consistently finding things new to me off the beaten path, experiencing all that I can in the moment while contradicting myself by attempting to document as much as possible. I want to write more by hand and explore by foot whenever possible. I’m looking forward to seeing America one small town at a time. I want to find the places no one else has, see the places no one else wants to and try to capture those experiences in a way no one has before.
I’m truly looking forward to a new year but not necessarily interested in a “new me.” My scattered accomplishments mean nothing without all the mistakes and blunders I’ve made to balance the scales. This year, I am not looking for a new me. The old one is good. A year older. More focused now than ever before. See you out here.
